Shipping Policy


We process and ship most general product orders on the same day if ordered by 2pm EST on a business day.  Part orders are delayed until all parts for the order are available depending on stock availability, this can take up to 2-10 business days if your parts must be ordered from the manufacturer.  If you need parts super fast, please see expediting below. You will receive your items within 1 to 5 business days and we always ship UPS or FedEx Ground. Most office supply orders are received within 1-2 business days shipping directly from warehouses located in all major populated areas. A limited number of delivery exceptions apply to larger or heavy items.  Certain parts will always go via LTL truck.  Hazardous items will be shipped via LTL truck only and the standard freight rates do not apply, you will be billed separately.  We will send you a UPS or FedEx Ground tracking number when we ship your items so you are fully informed of the status of your shipment, drop shipped orders will have delayed tracking information and may have to be obtained by calling our office. When possible LTL shipment tracking information will be provided, but may be obtained by calling our main office.  To track LTL shipments, you must contact the LTL carrier directly; we will help you with this task.


Delivery charges are based on the item subtotal of your order before any coupons or discounts are applied, less any items that are marked as Free ShippingThese rates are for standard ground shipping.  Air charges are available, please call our office for terms and conditions or review Expedited Shipping below.  Freight charges for standard ground UPS processing to AK and HI are $30.00, orders for product and parts over $100 to AK or HI will be charged $30.00 on a manual transaction by phone.

Because furniture, rugs, batteries, and other large items are bulky, heavy, and may have limited availability, these items have a delivery and processing surcharge. Shipping surcharges for these items will be provided under separate contact and will require your prior authorization before your order can be processed.  Delay in responding to this request will delay your order.  All scrubber batteries will be shipped via LTL.  Some sealed engine starting batteries can be shipped via FedEx.  All Hazmat items will force an otherwise small package delivery order to ship via LTL and shipping rates above will not apply.

Hazardous Materials Charges

Some products are marked as Hazmat on our site.  These items may be shipped via LTL or FedEx ground depending on the size of your order.  We will evaluate the lowest cost option to your destination.  The Hazmat fees are as follows:  If shipped via FedEx ground $30 PER PACKAGE, if via LTL carrier their Hazmat service fee which varies by carrier.


Orders or items that cannot ship via UPS or FedEx Ground due to their weight and/or size ship via a Freight Line Service. (Examples of such items are: Large replacement tanks, degreasers, batteries). Please allow 3 days to 2 weeks for delivery.

Orders shipped via freight line to a residential address are strictly delivered curbside. The freight company will typically assess additional fees for any delivery beyond normal curbside delivery or delivery requiring a lift gate. Our fees do not include any delivery service beyond curbside - customers are responsible for any extra charges incurred for any extra services. In addition, customers are responsible for additional charges incurred due to missed delivery appointments or re-deliveries. Charges added by carrier at time of delivery and back billed to us will be charged under separate charges using the method initially used.


All orders ship from the closest of our nationwide network of warehouses. Should the closest warehouse not have the item or items you ordered in stock, we will ship from the next closest warehouse. This may result in you receiving your order at different times if you ordered more than 1 item. Please note that we are not set-up for in-warehouse pick-ups. All orders must ship out via UPS or LTL carriers.


ALL AIR SHIPMENTS MUST BE RECEIVED BY 1 PM EST FOR SHIPPING THAT DAY.  Orders received after that time will not be considered until the next standard business day. Orders placed for parts requesting NDA or 2 Day Air may be shipped directly from manufacturers and minimum order size may apply or additional fees to meet minimum may be added, we also cannot guarantee they will process the order on time or they have the part in stock available for shipping.  REQUESTING NDA DOES NOT MEAN YOU WILL GET THE ITEM THE NEXT DAY.  It means that when it ships it will ship via the method you are choosing, IF YOU HAVE TO HAVE PARTS NEXT DAY --- PLEASE CALL TO CONFIRM INVENTORY!  Orders shipping on FRIDAY or before a national holiday will be delivered the NEXT standard business day.  If you have to have the part as a Saturday delivery YOU MUST CALL THE ORDER IN and Saturday delivery charges will apply.  We cannot guarantee these shipments, we do everything in our abilities to ship on time and accurately, unfortunately we do not control manufacturers shipping processes or inventory.  Orders for NDA parts under $50.00 before freight charges will not be shipped directly from a manufacturer and will be shipped from our main location; if inventory is not available delay in shipping will occur until inventory is available.  All air charges will be ESTIMATES ONLY.  If you place an order for air shipping, please be aware that we cannot guarantee the shipment from one location and therefore you may be charged multiple air shipment charges.  Air shipments for parts are generally drop shipped directly from manufacturers and we have no control how a manufacturer packages and ships.  By requesting air shipping you are agreeing to these additional shipping terms and costs.  Manufacturers have time deadlines for air shipments; you must call no less than 1 hour before the deadline in order to provide enough time to process the order.  Orders that do not arrive "next day" will not be credited for air charges if the product ships via air per these terms.  Orders delayed by Acts of God, weather, carrier failures & delays, etc will not be credited for freight charges if shipped via the method chosen or delivered via another service method within the original service level.


We can only accept requests for direct billing of shipments for LTL truck shipments.  Requests for Third Party Billings or specific carriers cannot be accepted.  Third Party billing, or destination billing for UPS orders cannot be accepted.


We often process orders for customers that wish their packaging slips to replace our shipping documents.  There is a $10 per package fee for this service and all documents must be provided by you prior to your package shipping.  Drop ship or NDA orders cannot be processed this way and the order must ship complete from our main location.  You may request your packages be picked up by your LTL carrier.


If there is only thing we know about our business, every week we get asked a special shipping request.  We understand your needs may be unique, please contact us we try our best to help you.  USPS can be used when necessary; however you assume all shipping risks and damage which may occur.  There may be additional fees for these services.


Domestic shipping is to continental US destinations, Alaska and Hawaii (AK an HI have special rates, see above).  Rates quoted here are for US destinations only.  Shipping to Canadian, or PR customers is billed at $30 standard ground shipping and all orders are shipped complete via small package services and are billed in USD.  WE DO NOT PAY ALL CUSTOM BROKERING FEES CHARGED BY THE CARRIER, YOUR GOVERNMENT'S DUTIES, TARIFFS, TAXES, OR ANY OTHER FEES INCURRED BY THE SHIPMENT NECESSARY TO COMPLETE THE DELIVERY WHEN CROSSING A NATIONAL BORDER.  SHIPPING CHARGES QUOTED AND CHARGED ARE ONLY AN ESTIMATED COST OF MOVING THE PACKAGE.  YOU WILL BE BILLED BY THE CUSTOMS BROKER FOR ADDITIONAL CHARGES LEVIED BY YOUR GOVERNMENT, WE DO NOT PAY THESE FEES.  YOU ARE AUTHORIZING CHARGES BACK BILLED TO MICHIGAN COMPANY INC. TO BE BILLED AS THEY ARRIVE FROM THE BROKER IN THE EVENT YOU DO NOT PAY THE CHARGES, THIS MAY TAKE UP TO 4 MONTHS TO BE RECEIVED AND PROCESSED.   We ship all military orders via USPS.  We do not ship to any other foreign destination, please seek a local source.
